Angela Petrelli
Angela Petrelli (nee Shaw), portrayed by Cristine Rose, is a fictional character featured in the television show Heroes. She is the mother of Nathan and Peter Petrelli. The character is based upon the Angela Lansbury character Mrs. Iselin in the film The Manchurian Candidate. In both cases the leading female role has a hidden agenda and wishes to make her son President or a leader at any cost.[1] She has the ability to see into the future and the past through dreams, and can also enter and manipulate other people’s dreams. This wasn’t revealed until the show’s third season premiere.
She calls her son Nathan after she has been arrested for shoplifting. It is revealed in 1961 that the reson she shoplifted the socks was because her sister didn’t have socks at Coyte Sands and she steals socks in her sister, Alice Shaw’s memory.
She has connections to the Nakamura family and is a target for death on someone’s list as she appears in a photo with many people that were killed.
